Strategy Overview

Self-managed, non-traded healthcare REIT that owns senior housing real estate. It holds seven properties (four skilled nursing facilities and three assisted living or assisted living/memory care communities, 558 beds) in Oregon, Texas, Illinois, California and Arizona. Five are leased to three unaffiliated operators on long-term triple-net leases. The other two are leased to affiliated TRS subsidiaries and operated directly for resident fees; management intends to stabilize and sell them. Summit also holds and manages a 10% interest in a joint venture owning five further properties, and states it is positioning for a potential liquidity transaction.
